About Phoebe
I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic recent graduate with a genuine passion for helping others reach their full potential. Throughout school, I found real satisfaction in breaking down challenging topics and helping classmates understand them — which naturally led me to tutoring. I really loved seeing when something “clicked” for a peer, and I aim to make my lessons supportive, motivating, and confidence-building. Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I understand the pressures of exams and what strategies actually work. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to share these techniques, inspire confidence, and help students discover that academic success is achievable with guidance and support from someone who has been through a similar situation.

I offer engaging, personalised online lessons at great value for money, tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. I tutor GCSE and A-Level students, focusing on developing strong exam and revision techniques that have proven successful in my own studies. Equally, I understand that everyone learns differently, so I help each student discover the strategies that work best for them. Lessons can also focus on improving essay-writing skills: I share examples of my own work and provide constructive feedback to help students refine their structure, clarity, and analytical depth. Each session typically lasts one hour, though this can be adjusted based on individual needs and is preceded by a free 30-minute introductory session to identify areas for support and create a tailored learning plan. I offer GCSE support in English Literature, English Language, Maths, Combined Science, Geography, History, and Latin, as well as A-Level tutoring in English Literature, Geography, and Psychology. I also provide guidance on the coursework components of A-Level English Literature and Geography, having achieved full marks in both. Additionally, I can offer EPQ support, helping students with research, structure, and academic writing. This support can be tailored to other exam boards, but please be advised that my sessions will be most effective if the exam board is the same - enquire further for more details. I achieved seven 9s and two 8s at GCSE, and A*AA at A-Level, reflecting my dedication and strong understanding of effective exam preparation. Alongside my studies, I worked as an academic mentor at my school, supporting younger students with coursework, revision, and exam technique. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt lessons to different learning styles and help students build confidence through patience, encouragement, and clear guidance.
