About Ruby
My name is Ruby, I am a recent masters graduate from the London School of Economics. Before doing my masters in Economics and Management, I completed a BSc in Economics at the University of York. I am fun and relaxed and enjoy tutoring because I get to meet many new people. My style of teaching will reflect me, relaxed but conscientious, to ensure you can maximize your potential. Originally British but having grown up in Switzerland, I am fully bilingual in French and English which enables me to teach French at a high level. I did Maths and English at A level and my degrees have continued to challenge me in these areas, keeping my knowledge up to date. I have a real passion for Economics and would love to share my knowledge. My past students would probably say I try and teach them tips and tricks to think about things differently, to really understand the concepts they are learning. During my sixth form years, I taught dance to GSCE students. My hobbies include dancing, skiing and I am passionate about English Literature and music. I specialize in tutoring A-Level Economics and GSCE Maths and Economics. If you are looking for someone to help you prepare for upcoming exams, set targets for revision, I might be the tutor for you. My aim is to cover all the topics you will be tested on in the exam, and make sure your knowledge is solid and you are able to apply concepts to lots of different questions. I always look for different techniques and ways to think about tough concepts so you can have a foolproof method to answer any question in the exam. Ruby is my economics tutor and has helped me to understand difficult concepts such as efficiency and elasticity. She is understanding but also stretches you as a pupil.
I had to write an essay a while back, where I basically had to make a strategic plan. Ruby really helped me find some clear views while writing it, and has helped me oversee the important points I had to reconsider. In her explaining towards me she was really straight forward and very good to follow. I had a very difficult time writing it and once she helped me out it became a lot easier.
