About Poppy
Hello, I am an 18-year-old tutor specialising in Psychology who is currently on a gap year and will be attending university in September 2027 to study Psychology. I recently completed my A-Levels this summer achieving two strong B grades in Psychology (AQA) and Criminology (WJEC), and narrowly missing a B grade in Law (OCR) by just 2 marks. As my exam experience is fresh in my mind, I understand the current curriculum, the pressure students face and the traps exam boards like to set. Since I was a child I enjoyed doing drama in and out of school showing that I am a confident individual who is hard-working and willing to help build younger students' confidence and their study habits in order for them to succeed within their academic studies.

I focus on breaking down the exam board specification into clear, manageable steps. As I have recently sat my exams in June 2026 I understand that knowing the facts is only half of the battle, you need to know how to structure your answers to gain the maximum marks. We will look at past papers, revision techniques, essay structures and the key information within Psychology. I offer a supportive and stress-free environment where no question is a silly one. My lessons will be 1-2 hours long depending on which you prefer and they are aimed at GCSE psychology students and those beginning in A-Level Psychology.
