About Rhys
I am a recent leaver of Dunblane High School who is a current second year in the natural sciences tripos at the universtiy of Cambridge. I began tutoring in my sixth year at secondary school. In tutoring I aim to develop students' understanding in a way which makes them confident to approach a range of problems including their exams, while also trying to foster an interest in sciences and maths! In my spare time I run the long sprints (200m, 400m) and play guitar.

I am currently in my second year reading the Natural Sciences Tripos at Cambridge University. Having studied chemistry, physics, biology of cells and mathematics in first year; and doing chemistry, biochemistry and cell and developmental biology in second year. I am therefore happy to teach any school level in chemistry, Physics, biology or Maths.
I teach by talking through topics with students in a way which involves open discussion. I often like to ask questions to students in order that they think their way through problems which they may have. I like to write and draw important things to allow students to collate some form of notes from lessons. I then consolidate learning by using my own questions or SQA past exam questions. Lessons last 1 hour and can be in person or online.
