About Maria Inês
I am 21 years old and I finished my degree in International Relations in July in a well-known English university. I spent the last three years living in England after finishing high school with a final average of 18 (19 to English). I attended the British Council since I was a child, where I completed all the levels and obtained official certificates (FCE and CAE). I am qualified to teach compulsory education every year (or from A1 to C1) and am available for independent classes or school support. I also have personal experience and the ability to assist in the preparation of certificates issued by Cambridge English.

My teaching technique is based on my own approach to learning a language: to understand rather than to decorate or translate. My main goal is to get the student to gain reasoning and ability to think in English, hence the focus from the beginning will be effective communication. Areas such as grammar, phrasal construction, and vocabulary will be worked out to serve this communication rather than as separate tasks. The organization of the classes will be thematic and adapted to the interests of each student and to the possible accompaniment of the school program (if it is an explanation). The classes will be dynamic and interactive as the use of alternative materials and more captivating than the traditional manuals. It is also important to mention that the lessons will be, except for rare scenarios, always given in English in order to emerge all the senses of the student in the language. My classes are based on English in England and not on American, and this is also applicable to pronunciation.
