About Oscar
My name is Oscar, I'm a recent graduate from Edinburgh University with first class honours in Economics. I have worked as a part-time tutor for 3 years, working with students up to A-level focusing on maths, economics and physics, helping them to learn, revise and ultimately succeed in their school exams. I achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and 2A*s and 2 As at A-level, and really enjoy passing on my knowledge and learning techniques to other students. I am easy to get on with, patient, and really care about helping others to do well.

My approach to tutoring is to talk through the subject with the student in order to fully understand what they find challenging, and then focus in on teaching these topics/techniques. When the student has reached a sufficient level of understanding, I like to go through exam-style questions with them to put their learning into practice, slowly reducing the level of assistance. Typical lessons would be 2 hours with regular breaks
I have worked part time as a tutor for 3 years, teaching maths, economics and physics to A-level as well as other subjects to GCSE. Therefore, I am happy to teach students from any age up to A-level, and university students of economics in addition.
