About Cherry

I’m a recent Stanford graduate with a B.S. in Mathematics and Biology (neuroscience focus) and an M.S. in Computer Science (artificial intelligence focus). During my studies, I co-authored a paper in a top peer-reviewed biology journal.

In high school, I earned a perfect 45/45 in the IB Diploma, taking HL Math AA, Physics, Chemistry, History, and English Language & Literature, plus SL French B. I scored 1560 on the SAT. Outside the classroom, I competed in math and physics: I won a silver medal at the International Young Physicists’ Tournament, qualified for the AIME through the AMC 12, and placed in the top 10% in Physics Bowl.

I’ve been through these exams and competitions myself, so I know what it takes to do well in them. I’d love to help you reach your own goals.

I believe in personalized education, because every student learns in their own way. In our first class, I like to get to know you: what you want to focus on, the pace that suits you, and your long-term goals. That way I can shape each lesson around your needs.

A typical 50-minute lesson would look like:
10–15 min: review what we covered last time
15–20 min: introduce a new topic with examples
The rest of the lesson: practice questions on the new topic, with plenty of room for questions

My lessons are for pre-college students interested in STEM subjects (math, biology, computer science, physics) or preparing for college or grad school application (application portfolio consulting, interview prep, academic planning). I’m happy to adapt to any level or goal.
