I have two degrees. One in English and one in Film & Media Studies. I work on a Netflix show currently. I usually work with students on English, Writing, Essays, Literacy, Comprehension, Classic Literature, etc.

My approach is to engage the student with the material and help them find a way to connect to it. With writing it's about teaching them the structure of the essay first and then getting those first building blocks down, the central idea of what they want to say.
