About Quincy
As a recent Communications graduate from DePaul University, I have honed my ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and in teaching. My academic background equips me with a strong understanding of language, structure, and persuasive techniques, which I’m excited to share with my students.
I am passionate about helping students enhance their writing skills, whether they are crafting essays, personal statements, or professional documents. My approach is tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on strengthening their individual voice and improving clarity, coherence, and impact.
In addition to my work as a writing tutor, I also teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to Spanish-speaking students. With experience in both teaching and tutoring, I understand the challenges that students face when learning a new language, and I’m dedicated to helping them build confidence in their English skills.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session starts with a quick review of the previous material to reinforce learning. Then, we move on to the core topic of the lesson, which may involve reading comprehension, writing exercises, or discussion. I end each session with a recap and a set of exercises or tasks for the student to work on independently before our next meeting. For admissions help, we work on brainstorming, refining personal statements, and perfecting application essays.
