About Demir
Hi! I’m Demir, a Senior at Carnegie Vanguard High School, ranked number 1 in Houston. I’ve taken AP courses in subjects like Precalculus, Chemistry, Physics 1, Computer Science, English Composition, AP English Literature, and U.S. History, maintaining straight A’s throughout. I scored in the 99th percentile on the PSAT and SAT with a perfect math score on both, all through self-study. I’m actively involved in my school’s National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, tutoring students in various math concepts. Outside of academics, I’m an Ambassador at the Lone Star Flight Museum, where I teach aviation history and flight mechanics to visitors of all ages. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy watching the NBA, playing chess, and trying out new food.

I use a personalized, step-by-step approach to help students improve their SAT Math and Reading scores. I break each topic into simple, clear steps and use example problems to show the exact strategies I use, as someone who self-studied to a perfect math score and top percentile overall. A typical lesson includes reviewing past mistakes, learning new strategies, and practicing real test-style questions together. I adapt my teaching to each student’s pace and learning style, making difficult questions feel manageable. For Reading, I teach efficient ways to find evidence, eliminate answers, and manage time. What sets me apart is my patience, my ability to explain concepts in a way that finally “clicks,” and my focus on understanding instead of memorizing. My lessons are great for any student aiming to raise their overall SAT score with clear strategies, confidence, and consistent improvement.

Demir did not just teach me SAT content, he taught me time management skills and quick tricks that made the test easier.
