About Dean
I'm a professional actor with 14 years private tuition experience providing in-depth public speaking and voice classes to groups and individuals in London and internationally, including classes at BPP Law school and RADA. I have recently held teaching posts at leading UK drama schools including Italia Conti and Trinity Laban, where I am currently BA and MA dissertation supervisor. I have been awarded fellowship of Higher Education status (FHEA) through Advance HE. Students have experienced instant results that they have carried into a professional working context, also seeing a positive long-term impact on their confidence, physicality and mindset. The tools I provide are helpful for those who experience anxiety and enable you to feel present, grounded and relaxed, even in high-pressure circumstances.

Classes are suitable for all with a gentle, accumulative approach to exercises. I focus on breath, relaxation and posture to eradicate physical tension and enable students to achieve a more confident vocal and physical presence. I start with exercises that induce a state of relaxation before working through voice, diction and articulation and then applying my methods to text. My classes include acting techniques that utilise the connection between body and imagination to create confidently delivered, engaging speech that connects with audiences. The techniques are applicable to any form of public speaking including presentations, interviews or wedding speeches and can be tailored to the specific needs of any student.

I have worked with Dean on a number of projects and have had the pleasure of directing him as an actor. He's an intelligent, sensitive and responsive actor, combining an instinctive grasp of what collaborators and students need in any given moment, with a strong and wide-ranging intellectual grasp of different performance disciplines and performance styles, as well as the ability to articulate these ideas in a clear and engaging manner.
