I would highly recommended Shayna for any tutoring position, she is amazing with children and is able to articulate lessons in a way that makes kids want to listen and learn.
Shayna nannied my two children (4 and 6) this summer and was incredible. With schools being shut down due to the pandemic, we were worried our kids would fall behind. I provided Shayna with the goals the children needed to work towards and she created a schedule and comprehensive lesson plan. My son has ADHD so getting him to focus is a bit of a challenge, but Shayna was patient and worked closely with him. After a couple of days he was comfortable with the routine and overall, is more confident with his school work. She thinks outside of the box to make lessons fun and engaging, like using games (hangman for spelling) and even coming up with a weekly science experiment, which the kids loved! Shayna always arrived before her start time, was flexible with hours if I needed her to stay late. I cannot say enough good things about Shayna.
