About Lisa
Hi! My name is Lisa and I'm a fourth-year Honors Bachelor of Health Sciences student at Queen's University with over four years of tutoring experience. I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program with Higher Level courses in Biology, Chemistry, and English, which gave me a strong foundation in both the sciences and literature.
I take an individualized approach with every student because I believe that everyone learns differently. Whether your goal is stronger grades, deeper understanding, or better study habits, I'll work with you to figure out what actually clicks for you.
I'm incredibly passionate about biology and chemistry, and tutoring is something I find really meaningful — I love helping students build real confidence in the material, not just memorize it for the test. Let's work together to reach your goals!

I take an individualized approach with every student because I recognize that not every student learns in the same way. Biology and chemistry are not easy subjects to grasp, and success often requires more than simply reviewing content.
Before we begin, I take the time to understand your goals and learning style. Are you aiming for higher grades? Stronger conceptual understanding? Better study strategies? More confidence answering application-based questions?
Depending on your needs, I tailor each session to focus on what will help you learn most effectively — whether that means breaking down difficult concepts, developing problem-solving strategies, improving study habits, or working through practice questions together. My goal is not only to help students perform better academically, but to help them build the confidence and skills to become self-directed learners.
