About Barty
I am a qualified PE teacher with a PGCE and QTS, and experience teaching in a leading UK boarding school. My approach is professional, patient, and encouraging. I work hard to build positive relationships and help students reach their full potential through clear communication, structured support, and consistent progress tracking. With a background in professional sport and education, I bring energy and real-world insight to my sessions, aiming to make learning both effective and enjoyable.

I create engaging, student-led lessons that focus on building confidence and understanding through active questioning, clear explanations, and real-life examples. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are tailored to each student’s needs. I hold a PGCE with QTS and have experience teaching PE, science, and academic support at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level. My tutoring is ideal for students aged 11–16 who need help consolidating school content, improving exam technique, or boosting overall performance. I believe in creating a calm, supportive environment where learners feel encouraged to take risks and ask questions.
