About Freya
I am a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach specialising in developing young rugby players. With an MSc in Strength & Conditioning, BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and NSCA-CSCS qualification, I combine academic knowledge with practical coaching experience.
I currently work as a Head of Strength & Conditioning within a school environment, supporting athletes across different ages and ability levels. My coaching focuses on building strong movement foundations before progressing towards the speed, strength, power and conditioning qualities required for rugby.
I work with players from beginner through to academy and performance level, adapting every session to their age, experience, position and individual goals. My aim is to make Strength & Conditioning approachable, enjoyable and relevant to rugby, while giving players the confidence and knowledge to train independently.
Whether you are new to the gym, looking to improve your rugby performance or preparing for academy-level rugby, I can provide structured, professional and rugby-specific coaching.

I provide rugby-specific Strength & Conditioning coaching designed to help players become stronger, faster, more powerful and better conditioned for the demands of rugby.
Sessions are practical, engaging and tailored to the individual player’s age, position, training age and playing level. I focus on developing the physical qualities that transfer directly to rugby, including acceleration, sprint speed, change of direction, strength, power, repeat-sprint ability, conditioning and resilience.
Each session typically lasts 60 minutes and combines technical coaching with rugby-specific physical development. I explain the purpose behind each exercise and teach players how to train effectively, safely and confidently.
I hold an MSc in Strength & Conditioning, BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and NSCA-CSCS qualification, with experience working with school, academy and performance athletes. I currently work as a Head of Strength & Conditioning in a school environment.
Lessons are suitable for young rugby players from beginner through to academy and performance level, with sessions adapted to the individual. Coaching can be tailored to forwards, backs or specific positional demands.
