About Joshua
I am a Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) based in London with a specialism in Physics and experience teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5 students. I hold a PGCE in Science Education and have taught a wide range of learners, including those with EAL and SEN needs. My approach is supportive, structured, and engaging. I focus on helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and develop the skills needed to succeed in Science, especially in Physics topics that many students find challenging. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each learner’s goals, using clear explanations, visual aids, real-world examples, and frequent feedback to track progress. Students describe my teaching as patient, encouraging, and easy to follow. My aim is to make Science enjoyable, accessible, and relevant, while helping every learner reach their full potential. My Approach to Tutoring: I am passionate about helping every student discover that Science can be enjoyable, understandable, and rewarding. I tailor each lesson to suit the learner’s pace, style, and confidence level, whether that means breaking topics down step by step, using visuals to explain abstract ideas, or linking Science to real-world examples. My sessions are interactive and encouraging. I ask questions, guide students to think critically, and celebrate their progress. I also use mini assessments and feedback throughout to help learners see how far they have come and what to focus on next. Lesson Structure: Most lessons are 60 minutes long and include: Review: Quick recap of previous learning Explore & Practice: Clear explanation with examples and guided questions Reflect: Short review and feedback to reinforce understanding I also offer 90-minute sessions for students preparing for exams or needing extra support. Qualifications & Experience: I am a Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) with a PGCE in Science Education (Physics Specialist), currently teaching in London. I have experience with KS3, KS4, and KS5 students, including those with EAL and SEN needs. My goal is to make every student feel capable and confident in Science. Who My Lessons Are For: I teach: KS3 students building strong Science foundations KS4 (GCSE) learners aiming for higher grades KS5 (A-Level) students developing advanced understanding and exam skills My lessons are positive, supportive, and designed to help every learner reach their full potential.
