About Holly

I’m a qualified science teacher with over six years of classroom experience and more than twelve years supporting young people through coaching and mentoring. Teaching has always been my greatest passion, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone understand something new, gain confidence. I enjoy working 1:1 because it allows me to focus on each learner as an individual, what motivates them, how they learn best, and where they want to go next. My goal is to make science and maths enjoyable, accessible, and relevant, helping students build strong foundations and genuine curiosity. For me, teaching is about more than grades; it’s about giving learners the confidence to think independently, ask questions, and believe in their ability to succeed.

Everyone learns differently, so your lessons will be tailored to you, your goals, strengths, and the way you learn best. I’ll take time to get to know what helps you feel confident and what areas you’d like to improve. We’ll use a mix of approaches, from visual explanations and practical examples to discussion-based problem solving, making science and maths engaging and enjoyable. Each session is designed around your learning style and pace, helping you build confidence, fill any gaps, and reach for top grades. My lessons are calm, supportive, and encouraging. You’ll always have space to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop a real understanding of the subject. Together, we’ll set clear goals and track your progress so you can see your improvement and feel proud of how far you’ve come.
