About Emma
I am a UK trained primary teacher with over 12 years teaching experience, including serving as a whole-school math lead, I am passionate about helping primary pupils unlock their full potential. My educational background includes a BSc in Psychology and a PGCE in Primary Education which gives me unique insight into child development and effective learning strategies.
Over the years, I have taught across all primary year groups in both UK and international schools. As a math specialist, I focus on building confidence and fluency with number guiding pupils to master key concepts through visual, step by step learning. Beyond math, I enjoy supporting young learners across all core primary subjects, helping them build strong literacy skills, curiosity and academic independence.
My goal as a tutor is simple: to make learning enjoyable, rewarding and accessible, equipping your child with the skills and self-belief they need to thrive at school.

I believe every child can thrive in mathematics when concepts are broken down into clear, visual and manageable steps. As a former Whole-School Mathematics Lead, my lessons focus on building true understanding- helping children grasp why a method works rather than just memorizing steps.
I foster a warm, encouraging environment where mistakes are seen as key learning opportunities. By building a strong foundation, pupils gain both mathematical fluency and the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problem solving and reasoning tasks independently.
Beyond mathematics, I provide comprehensive primary tutoring across English, Science and wider foundation subjects. Whether your child needs targeted support with reading comprehension, grammar and creative writing or guidance across the broader primary curriculum, I adapt my approach to strengthen their core academic skills. These sessions focus on building clear communication, critical thinking and overall study confidence, ensuring pupils feel well-supported across every area of their school learning.
