About Madusha
I inspire confidence in my students by creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where they feel safe to explore their musical potential. I have been playing the piano since I was 7, achieving a Distinction in my Grade 8 ABRSM exam at 17 and earning a DipLCM in Piano Performance during my final year of high school. As a violist, I performed with the SYSO and collaborated with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. My diverse experiences, from school orchestras to high-profile performances, reflect my deep passion for music. With a BOptom (Hons) degree and a commitment to both education and creativity, I bring a structured, enthusiastic, and empathetic approach to teaching. I strive to make lessons enjoyable, helping each student unlock their musical potential while ensuring they feel supported and inspired every step of the way!

Piano Lessons for All Ages (5+) Looking to start your musical journey or improve your skills? I offer engaging, personalised piano lessons tailored for students of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to adults! About Me: I am qualified with a DipLCM in Piano Performance. Furthermore, I am proficient in viola (Grade 6) and hold a Distinction in Grade 6 Music Theory. Also experienced teaching young children and teens prior to graduating, now resuming teaching as I completed my studies. Teaching Approach: I focus on developing strong foundational techniques, musicality, and confidence so lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether you're playing for enjoyment or working towards exams. I believe in making learning enjoyable and accessible, thus use a patient and supportive teaching style to engage my students and get them keen to know more and more. Lesson Details: Standard lesson length: 1 hour. Options for shorter lessons (30-45 minutes) available for younger children. For advanced exam preparation (Grades 6–8+), lessons are £50/hr to reflect the additional level of study. Suitable for ages 5+, from absolute beginners to intermediate players. Perfect! I really enjoyed my first piano lesson with Madusha. She made the whole session feel comfortable and enjoyable, and tailored it really well to what I wanted to learn.

Perfect! Madusha taught piano to my two daughters (aged 11 and 12) at home . She was always very kind, patient, and encouraging, which helped create a warm and positive learning environment.

Perfect! I contacted Madusha after my son failed his Grade 3 piano exam due to disruptions in his lessons following our move to a new area. Madusha has been amazing in getting him back on track by identifying the areas that he needs to improve on & making focused lesson plans. He has improved by leaps and bounds, and is due to re-take his exam soon. I like Madusha's no-nonsense approach and would highly recommend her to anybody looking for a good piano tutor.

I've known Madusha for many years and have seen her grown into a truly talented and dedicated pianist. She has always had a natural musical ability, and her playing is beautiful - when she plays, you never want it to end! She is also intelligent, patient and work wonderfully with children. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a piano teacher.
