My tutoring approach is being supportive and results-focused, with lessons adapted to each student's age, ability, learning style and individual needs. I first aim to understand the foundation of the student, work out any gaps and then draw out a teaching style/plan. As part of this I start with building confidence where it is lacking. I then create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their understanding. I always aim to make learning simple, participative, For Primary school focus: For younger learners, I use engaging activities, repetition, questioning until confidence is gained. For GCSE students, I combine subject knowledge with exam technique, past-paper practice, question analysis, time management and understanding mark schemes.
