About Karl
I love maths and science! I am a qualified maths and science teacher. However, I am also a professional Yacht Captain and dive instructor. I use my maths and science to create and live an adventurous lifestyle
Currently, I am living in the UK teaching maths and science in schools. Last year I was working as a dive instructor on the Great Barrier Reef and delivered a maxi yacht accross the Great Australian Bite ( under the bottom of Australia).
I try to instil a love and appreciation of these subjects and try to demonstrate their application to practical circumstances.
In previous years I have been employed in schools for a period of one week to teach struggling students prior to exams to pass their maths GCSE.

I try to get to know the interests of my students and attempt to motivate them to understand the usefulness of maths in their daily lives.
I try to instil in the students the fundamental concepts of maths and science so they learn through understanding. I help the students to analyse a question through simple diagrams and to help them to learn how to properly structure their answers to maximise the marks they can achieve in exams.
