About Molly
I recently received my master's degree in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University, and have my bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Oregon. During my undergraduate degree, I was employed by the university's maths department to assist in tutoring a wide range of subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and more. I have experience aiding students with additional needs such as AD(H)D, autism, and dyslexia. My goal is always to help students shift their mindset so maths is not a scary thought, but actually something that is enjoyable and interesting!

My approach to tutoring revolves around ensuring the student understands the content, rather than memorising formulae. We break the subjects down to the very basic foundations and build up from there. Each child requires a slightly different approach and I will tailor my methods depending on the skills they have mastered and the skills that could use additional support. I typically work in hour-long periods but can adjust depending on the need. Currently, I am offering my services to students in high school who are studying N4, N5, Highers or Advanced Highers.
