About Emma
Hello! I'm Emma, a qualified and registered Queensland teacher with a Bachelor of Education and classroom experience teaching Mathematics to students in Years 7–9 and Year 10-12 Essential Mathematics.
I am passionate about helping students develop confidence in mathematics and believe that every student is capable of success with the right support and encouragement. I enjoy making math approachable by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and celebrating progress along the way.
Whether your child needs help building foundational skills, keeping up with classroom learning, preparing for assessments, or simply gaining confidence, I provide patient, personalized support tailored to their individual needs and learning style.
I understand that math can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a positive, relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing the confidence to tackle new challenges.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, playing netball, and reading. These interests have helped me develop adaptability, teamwork, and a lifelong love of learning—qualities I bring to every tutoring session.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual needs, learning style and goals. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and developing a genuine understanding of mathematics, not just memorising formulas.
Lessons are interactive and focus on strengthening fundamental skills, improving problem-solving strategies and developing confidence with new concepts. I use clear explanations, worked examples and guided practice to help students master each topic before moving on. Where appropriate, I can also assist with homework, assessment preparation and revision for school exams.
I hold a Bachelor of Education and am a registered Queensland teacher with experience teaching Mathematics in Years 7–9 and Year 10-12 Essential Mathematics. My classroom experience has given me the skills to support students of varying abilities, whether they need extra help to catch up, want to consolidate their learning or are looking to extend themselves.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes in length, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's age and learning needs.
My tutoring is available for students in Years 4–10, helping them build strong mathematical foundations, increase their confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
