About A
Hi! I'm Aisha, I am currently teaching all three science disciplines in a secondary school in Birmingham.
I am a qualified teacher and have taught for two years and have been tutoring for one year.
Before teaching, I received my bachelors degree in Human Neuroscience from the University of Birmingham.
Professional practices that I implement in my tuition lessons:
- guided practice: answering past exam questions with students whilst teaching the topic. As a teacher I have access to hundreds of exam questions and mark schemes.
- dual coding: displaying images to develop understanding as I teach
- retrieval practice: implementing the “forgetting curve” to ensure students do not forget content by retrieving knowledge over time
I prefer consistent, and dedicated students who are willing to put in the work to reach their targets.
