About Kirthini
I am a qualified English tutor with a strong academic background and a proven ability to support students in developing confident, high-quality writing skills. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences from Monash University and a completed Master of Counseling, which has strengthened my communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities.
I have experience tutoring VCE English students and supporting learners with essay writing, text analysis, and exam preparation. I specialize in helping students organize their ideas clearly, write with precision, and respond effectively to assessment criteria. My approach to teaching English is practical, structured, and outcome-focused. I help students develop the core skills required for success in English: clear writing, strong argument construction, confident text analysis, and effective exam technique. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s current ability, school curriculum, and assessment requirements.
I teach students how to think like an English marker, breaking down prompts, understanding task words, planning essays efficiently, and writing responses that are coherent, analytical, and well-supported by evidence. Lessons often involve working through exemplar paragraphs, improving sentence structure and expression, and learning how to integrate quotes smoothly and persuasively.
