About Pami
Hello, I’m Pami — a UK-qualified English teacher, tutor and examiner with extensive experience teaching GCSE and IGCSE English Language and Literature to both UK and international students.
I currently teach in a UK secondary school and also work as an examiner, which means I know exactly what examiners are looking for and how students can maximise marks, even under exam pressure.
I specialise in helping students:

My teaching approach is clear, structured and exam-focused, with a strong emphasis on helping students understand how to gain marks, not just what to write.
As a UK-qualified English teacher and examiner, I teach students the exact skills examiners reward: precise language analysis, well-structured responses, confident use of quotations, and purposeful planning. Lessons are carefully scaffolded, moving from guided practice to independent application, so students build confidence as well as accuracy.
I place particular importance on:
•Understanding assessment objectives and mark schemes
•Developing analytical and evaluative writing
•Improving exam technique under timed conditions
•Building confidence through clear feedback and high expectations

Lesson Length & Format
•1-to-1 lessons: 60 minutes
•Small group lessons: 75–90 minutes
All lessons are delivered online via Zoom, using shared resources and interactive discussion. Students receive clear verbal guidance and written feedback to support progress between sessions.

• BA (Hons) English Studies
• MA Newspaper Journalism
• Current GCSE examiner
•Extensive experience teaching GCSE and IGCSE English and A Level
