Focusing primarily on the skills that students want to work on and basing my lessons on that. All lessons start with a recap on the previous session and then working through the skills you want/need to improve on through a variety of different activities. If we are focusing on GCSE, I will often provide model answers or mark essays you provide so we can go through how to improve your mark together.

Kat is a leading practitioner in the English department at a secondary mainstream school in Manchester. She leads on English Language in the department and has extensive experience marking for the English Literature GCSE. She has been rated an outstanding teacher consistently and has an excellent knowledge of a range of syllabus’ as well as the ability to differentiate to support a range of learning styles and needs.
A very well rounded teacher who has taken multiple year groups through to GCSE with strong results. Katrina is especially good at tailoring her interventions to the pupil in order to find the best methods that work for them.
