About Gaet
Personal Description: Gaet hails from Nantes in France, began playing the drums at just six years old, initially studying jazz at his local school. At eighteen he moved to Paris where he studied at the Conservatoire National of Paris and Cergy France. By this point his interests had expanded to rock, pop and funk and once he graduated he upped sticks to Los Angeles to study session drumming at the Musicians Institute. This life-changing experience gave him a taste of life as a globetrotting musician and he never looked back, moving back to Paris which he then used as a launch pad for a decade-long career performing all over the world, dividing his time as a session musician working with several leading artists and labels such as Alex Hepburn, Circus Ohlala, Souleyman Diamanka, Gaby Moreno, Ulrich Forman, in addition to his work as a band member and song-writing collaborator with bands such as Bonobo Trio, Balinger, Perfect Line and Soufffle. In 2016 he created The Stoptoï Company where he performs solo pieces with two circus performers, taking the show all across Europe, Asia and Canada. His prolific output doesn't stop there however, as he also has his own project, Solar Parachute where he's not only drummer but also singer and songwriter! All in all he has toured in thirty countries and recorded thirty-five albums and EPs. In 2019 he moved to London where he found the perfect environment to reach the next level for his artistic career. Lessons can cover drums, drum recording, arrangements, production, career topics development. I will customise each lesson for the student with a practice plan. Warm-up exercises, routine, technique, ergonomics on the drums, time exercises, tempo, coordination, method for improvisation and composition, composition/recording technique but I'm more than happy to chat about anything that's specific to what you want to know more about.
