About Treflet
I am a Chartered Accountant, worked mostly in public practice, have CFO experience in the advertising, marketing and digital media industries. Having also worked as a trainee clerk and further on heading up the audit division, I enjoyed providing training, mentorship and guidance to articled clerks as well as observing their development through the challenges of being aspiring CA(SA)s.
Currently operating a practice in Cape Town providing accounting, tax, assurance, training and consulting services to SMMEs.

I tutor all levels of accounting from high school through to board level.
The method that works for me the best is going through a practical scenario and applying the theory to the situation with a strong focus on the logic behind certain rules, standards, methods etc. This way rather than learning standards or methods verbatim you get to grasp it fully which makes it that much easier to recall.
I also focus on guiding through the most important aspects of a topic and cutting out the noise or the irrelevant information that confuses students. This also helps with exam technique, knowing where to maximise on points and time.
