About Nikita
I am a qualified Art & Design teacher with experience teaching in London secondary schools at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level. I hold a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Museums, Galleries & Contemporary Culture, and I am also an active practising artist. This combination of professional teaching and personal practice means I understand both the academic requirements of exams and the creative journey of developing a personal style. My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and tailored to the needs of each student. A typical session begins with a short warm-up exercise to build technical skills such as proportion, shading, or composition. We then focus on a project or theme chosen to match the student’s goals, whether that is exam coursework, portfolio preparation, or developing confidence in observational drawing. Throughout the lesson, I give clear demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, and constructive feedback. I am patient, supportive, and encouraging, but I also believe in helping students set high standards for themselves. My aim is that every learner leaves each lesson with something concrete achieved and with a clear next step. Students gain not only stronger technical ability, but also the confidence to express their own ideas and creativity. Whether you are preparing for exams, building a portfolio, or learning for enjoyment, my lessons will help you progress and achieve your personal goals. I want students to feel inspired, motivated, and proud of the work they create, both inside and outside the lesson.
