About Waheed
I have completed a bachelors and teacher training in computing. I have taught in a variety of settings, including inner-city schools, grammar schools, and international schools, giving me a broad and adaptable teaching experience. I’m genuinely passionate about computer science and take pride in passing that enthusiasm on to my students. I can cater for any level, beginners to advanced level programmers. I focus on helping my students develop a deep understanding of both Python programming and computer science theory, while building their confidence and problem-solving skills. My students consistently achieve excellent academic outcomes: 75% of my most recent A-Level class achieved grades A*–B; 55% of my GCSE class achieved grades 9–7. 91% got higher than grade 4. These results reflect my commitment to high standards, personalised support, and effective, engaging teaching.

I like to start by getting to know my students. Their strengths, weaknesses, learning style and what they hope to achieve with me. I make a plan of how I intend to get the student to achieve the best possible outcome. My teaching approach is clear, structured, and tailored to each student's needs. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts, followed by plenty of guided practice, real-world examples, and exam technique training. Whether a student is just starting out or preparing for final exams, I adapt each session to their ability and goals. Lessons are engaging and interactive with the view of helping pupils to build confidence and become independent learners. I use a mix of interactive tools, live coding, and past paper questions to keep lessons engaging and productive. I monitor progress and give feedback. Typical lesson length: 60 minutes Delivery method: Online (via Zoom or preferred platform) Resources provided: Tailored worksheets, coding tasks, exam-style questions, revision help, quizzes and plenty of Q and A. My expertise is at A-Level and GCSE.
