About SAMUEL
My tutoring approach is focused on making complex scientific concepts simple, clear and exam-focused. I believe that students learn best when lessons combine conceptual understanding, real-life examples, and regular exam practice.
I use a structured teaching methodology that begins with identifying the student’s current level and learning gaps. I then explain key concepts step-by-step using diagrams, examples, and guided questions to help students develop strong understanding. After the explanation, students practise with GCSE and IGCSE past-paper style questions so they can build confidence and exam technique.
My lessons are usually 60 minutes long, although I also offer 90-minute sessions for intensive exam preparation. Each lesson normally includes:
1. A short review of previous work
2. Clear explanation of the new topic
3. Guided practice questions
4. Independent exam-style questions
5. Feedback and tips for improvement
I am a qualified STEM teacher with a BTEC in Chemistry Education and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I currently teach Chemistry at Grundtvig International School, where I work with students preparing for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations. I also teach online students through international tutoring platforms and education consultancies.
My lessons are designed for secondary school students aged 11–18, particularly those studying Checkpoint Science, GCSE Combined Science, IGCSE Chemistry, and AQA Chemistry. I also support students who need help strengthening their science foundation and exam preparation.
My goal is to help students build confidence in science, improve their grades, and develop strong analytical thinking skills that will support them in higher education.
