About Anna
About me
I enjoy teaching because I genuinely want to help more students feel confident in their learning.
I believe having a tutor can make a big difference, especially for students who may not always feel comfortable asking many questions in class. In lessons with me, students are encouraged to ask questions freely and clarify anything they are unsure about.
I personally had a tutor during senior school, and the support and guidance I received helped me significantly. That experience showed me how valuable one-on-one teaching can be, and it motivated me to help other students in the same way… to give back the support that once helped me. I aim to create a supportive and approachable learning environment where students feel comfortable, understood, and confident to improve.

I have a wide range of resources and adapt my teaching approach to suit each student.
If a student struggles with understanding, I explain concepts from the basics, building a strong foundation so they can confidently apply the concept to different types of questions. I focus on why methods work, not just memorising steps.
If a student already understands the content, lessons focus on harder exam-style questions, extensions, and common traps. I guide students through difficult problems step-by-step and explain any parts they are unsure about.
I achieved perfect internal assessment results, so I am very familiar with marking guides and examiner expectations. I teach students how to structure working and responses to secure full marks, not just correct answers.
For external exam preparation, I provide extensive resources and targeted practice. I help students avoid common mistakes, improve time management, and develop effective exam strategies so they can perform under exam conditions.
My goal is to help students become confident, efficient, and independent problem-solvers.
Suitable for Year 10–12 students, especially QCAA Specialist Maths, Mathematical Methods, Biology, Economics, and Accounting.
