About Mae
I hold a Master’s in Computer Science and have taught Python for over seven years, guiding students from beginners to advanced levels. My teaching focuses on practical application, clarity of logic, and real-world relevance. In my classes, students engage in projects, problem-solving exercises, and interactive discussions. I emphasise understanding the reasoning behind the code, helping learners develop confidence and critical thinking alongside technical skills. I also aim to cultivate curiosity and independence. My Python lessons are hands-on and project-driven. Students begin with basics such as syntax, loops, and functions, then move towards advanced topics including object-oriented programming, libraries, and data manipulation. Each session integrates projects that reinforce learning and demonstrate real-world applications. Students work on automating tasks, analysing datasets, or creating simple apps to solidify understanding. I use visual tools, interactive coding exercises, and step-by-step debugging to ensure learners develop both conceptual knowledge and practical problem-solving skills. By the end of the course, learners gain confidence in coding independently, with the ability to tackle complex problems and pursue advanced Python applications in AI, data science, or web development.
