About Bartosz
I'm Bartosz, a Computer Science student at the University of Sussex, and programming has been my passion since I was 14 years old.
I started with Python 8 years ago and haven't stopped building things since. Over the years, I've worked on:
- Simulations and data analysis tools
- Automation scripts
- Optimisation algorithms
- Video Games
- Gesture detection software using computer vision
- Web applications using modern HTML/CSS/JavaScript frameworks
I've explored multiple programming languages (Rust, C, C++, C#, Java, and functional languages), but Python remains my favourite for teaching because it's the most beginner-friendly while still being incredibly powerful.
I'm also well-familiarised with Linux environments and have built tools for workflow automation and system configuration. I love showing students how programming can make their lives easier - not just in theory, but through real projects they can actually use.

Programming isn't just about memorising syntax - it's about understanding how to *use* the tools and think like a real developer.
What you'll learn:
- Python fundamentals: variables, loops, functions, data structures, OOP
- How to set up a proper development environment (VS Code/PyCharm, pip, virtual environments)
- Reading and understanding error messages (the skill that matters most)
- Working with libraries and packages beyond the standard library

- How to approach problems systematically, like a programmer thinks
I focus on:
- Real development workflow - not just writing code in IDLE, but understanding how to use proper IDEs, virtual environments, package managers, and the command line
- Learning by building - we work on actual projects that interest you, not boring textbook examples
- Problem-solving skills - I teach you how to debug, read error messages, and find solutions independently
- Hands-on collaboration - we code together in real-time, so you learn by doing, not just watching
