About Balwant
I’m a friendly, patient, and passionate Punjabi tutor with over 5 years of experience teaching children. I have taught children from Punjabi-speaking and Sikh families across the globe.
I take great pride in helping children develop a strong foundation in Punjabi, particularly in reading and writing. Many of the children I have taught have gone on to confidently read Shudh Gurbani Paath, which is something I find incredibly rewarding.
I believe learning Punjabi is about much more than simply learning a language. For many children, it is a way to connect with their roots, culture, and Gurbani. I aim to make that journey enjoyable, encouraging, and meaningful.
Parents have consistently appreciated my patient, supportive, and engaging approach, and I love seeing children grow in both their Punjabi skills and confidence.

I’m a friendly and patient Punjabi tutor with over 5 years of experience teaching children. I have worked with students from Punjabi-speaking families across India, Ireland, the UK, Canada, Singapore, Nairobi and Australia, giving me experience teaching children from different backgrounds and learning environments.
My lessons are especially suited to children who are starting Punjabi from scratch or want to strengthen their existing language skills. I focus particularly on reading and writing, while also helping children develop their vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking and overall confidence in Punjabi.
I keep lessons engaging and age-appropriate by breaking topics into simple steps, using repetition, conversation, questions and interactive activities. My aim is to make Punjabi enjoyable while helping children build strong foundations that they can continue developing over time.
Lessons typically last 30–40 minutes, with the pace and content adapted to each child’s age, ability and learning needs.

Her classes are so interactive, with games and engaging worksheets that keep him involved and excited to learn. She is patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in her students, and she makes reading and writing punjabi fun rather than overwhelming. Navpreet has gained real confidence speaking Punjabi at home with family. She also weaves in culture and stories, which keeps learning meaningful.
