About Kalungi
Award-winning trained actor with 18 years of stage, screen, and audio experience. Alfred Fagon Award-nominated writer of Assata Taught Me, directed by Lynette Linton and staged at The Gate Theatre, starring Adjoa Andoh. Winner of the inaugural Passing the Baton commission at The Bush Theatre (2017). Winner of the JMK Directing Award, the most prestigious directing award for emerging directors. Winner of The Roland Rees Bursary. I am acting tutor at LAMDA and continue to work as a freelance director.

Using existing techniques pioneered by Patsy Rodenburg, Uta Hagen, Meisner and Stanislavsky I will strengthen your connection to the text as well as access a deeper understanding of your character. My lessons last a minimum of 1 hour. I hold an MA in Acting from Guildhall and currently work as Acting Tutor at London Academy of Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) as well as a freelance director with productions at The Orange Tree Theatre and Theatre503. Suitable for 18+ emerging actors as well as established actors.
