About KP
Hi! My name is KP, and I'm a sophomore college student pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Public Health, with plans to earn my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology!
I have a strong interest in biology, human anatomy, and the sciences, as well as a passion for writing and communication. Throughout my college education, I've gained experience with college-level science courses, academic writing, and research, and I enjoy helping others develop confidence in these subjects.
Outside of academics, I have years of experience working with children of all ages as a swim instructor and competitive swim coach. I also run my own swim lesson business! These experiences have taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
I understand that challenging subjects can sometimes feel overwhelming, and I believe that having someone patiently explain concepts in a new way can make all the difference. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them develop stronger study habits, critical thinking skills, and confidence in their own abilities.
I'm patient, dependable, enthusiastic, and genuinely invested in helping each student succeed. I look forward to making learning a positive and rewarding experience!

Hi! I'm KP, a sophomore college student pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Public Health, with plans to earn my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology!
I've always loved learning, but even more than that, I love helping others learn! With years of experience teaching and working with children of all ages, I've learned that everyone processes information differently. My goal is to create a patient, encouraging, and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenging concepts.
**My Teaching Approach:**
I believe learning should be about truly understanding information rather than simply memorizing it! I tailor my lessons to each student's learning style, using visual aids, real-life examples, practice questions, and step-by-step explanations to make difficult topics easier to understand.
**What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:**
I like to begin by discussing what the student is currently learning and identifying any areas where they may be struggling. From there, we'll break down challenging concepts, work through examples together, and practice applying what we've learned. I also love sharing study strategies that students can use independently!
**Subjects I Offer:**
- **Biology & Anatomy:** Helping students understand biological processes, human body systems, anatomical terminology, and foundational scientific concepts.
- **Essay Writing:** Assisting with brainstorming, outlining, thesis development, organization, grammar, and editing while helping students develop their own writing skills and voice.
My lessons are especially suited for middle school and high school students, as well as students taking introductory college-level courses.
**What Sets Me Apart:**
Along with my background in Public Health, I have extensive experience teaching children through swim instruction and coaching. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, encouragement, and making learning enjoyable!
Above all, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable, and excited about what they're learning!
