About Joel
Hello! My name is Joel and I am currently studying Psychology at the UAB. I started playing chess since I was 6 years old and I was pleased to teach at 16 in public schools. Since then I have been helping countless children and adults to progress, among which are a U-12 participant in the Spanish championship and with 2 Catalan runners-up and many kids U-16/U-18 in important catalan championships.

Many teachers base their methodologies on constant study without going too deep into the idea, making the student not get the maximum potential or get bored quickly.
I offer an understanding of chess through a more logical perspective, where the student will not only understand the situation he is in but he will also know how to get out of it using his mind and not the book, thus achieving greater contact with chess and stronger dominance over positions.
With my experience I also bring a lot of material created by me that will make the classes much more enjoyable. Also, I have a large number of solved problems that will delight any beginner and intermediate player, testing the person and increasing their desire to continue progressing . In addition, I have created a progression table where I write down different variables of each person to maximize their potential, reinforce their weak points and strengthen the good ones.

Details
The 30 minutes free class will be used to focus on the objectives of the student, how he sees him playing and what do he thinks about it in order to establish a basis to work with. Also, I'll analyze one of his games if he played a tournament recently or he'll play a game so i can see his level more clearly.
