About Leigha
I am a Psychology major and Math minor at Algoma University. I play for the Varsity Women's soccer team and am in my second (going on third) year of my degree. I am outgoing, passionate about education, and have tutored math students at both the high school and university level.

My teaching methods include giving example problems with different numbers and then allowing the student to try a similar problem on their own. I believe that the student should give the question a solid attempt before I guide them any further. A typical session would start with the student asking any questions, then I would work a similar problem (with the student following along), and finally by the end of the session the student should be able to complete more problems on their own. I really prioritize the students learning rather than simply getting the homework done. The student isn't going to have my help on tests or exams, so it's super important that they can actually understand the material :)
