About Talitha
I've been a psychologist for 13 years. I grew up studying English and German (but only pursued English!) in Curitiba, Paraná. At 16, I did an exchange program in Dayton, Ohio as a junior, where I took subjects similar to ours to facilitate the validation process of my junior year. But I took some really cool classes like cooking, English Literature, Bible Studies (the school was Christian), and Art. (And of course, math, science, and American history). When I returned, I immediately started college and continued practicing by reading international psychology articles. In my last semester of college, I took a DTS course with YOUTH WITH A MISSION. I was able to travel doing volunteer work throughout Northwest Asia, passing through China, North Korea, and South Korea. I graduated and returned to Hawaii (oh yes, I lived in Hawaii for quite a while and yes, it's AMAZING… Even more so when you stop being a tourist and get to know Hawaiian culture). I volunteered in training and developing people and taking teams of volunteers to other countries to address the needs of a community. It was wonderful! And it was difficult too, but I would do it all again!! (who knows, maybe in the not-too-distant future!) Now I work as a Clinical Psychologist (psychology residency student) and English teacher!
