About Blake
My passion for programming emerged from curiosity about building meaningful software solutions from logical structures. This motivated me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Engineering and an M.Sc in Software Systems, where I gained expertise in coding, algorithmic thinking, and software design. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided learners from beginners taking their first steps in programming to advanced students tackling complex software projects, competitions, or research initiatives.
I teach with patience, clarity, and interactive engagement, combining step-by-step explanations, guided exercises, and project-based learning. I encourage learners to explore alternative solutions, analyse outcomes, and think critically, fostering both skill and confidence. Lessons focus on conceptual understanding alongside practical application, enabling students to become independent problem-solvers who can approach technical challenges with creativity and precision.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged with emerging programming languages, frameworks, and technological innovations. Real-world examples in lessons ensure students understand the relevance and applications of coding beyond the classroom. Witnessing learners develop confidence, technical competence, and problem-solving independence is deeply rewarding. I aim to empower students to achieve academic excellence and build a lifelong passion for programming.

Programming becomes meaningful when students understand the reasoning behind every line of code and how algorithms solve real-world problems. My lessons cover Python, Java, algorithms, object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles. I emphasise conceptual understanding, practical application, and critical thinking. Students gain confidence as they experiment, debug, and explore multiple ways to solve problems. Lessons integrate exercises, mini-projects, and real-world examples to make programming engaging, hands-on, and intellectually stimulating.
Lessons are tailored to learners’ experience. Beginners focus on syntax, loops, conditional statements, and small programmes to build foundational skills. Intermediate students tackle modular coding, functions, debugging strategies, and algorithm design. Advanced learners explore data structures, project architecture, optimisation techniques, and complex problem-solving for competitive exams, professional projects, or research. Each session combines guidance, feedback, and problem-solving exercises to reinforce understanding and long-term retention.
Programming lessons cultivate structured thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Students develop confidence in designing solutions, reasoning logically, and troubleshooting independently. My goal is to help learners build technical competence while nurturing curiosity, analytical skills, and independence, ensuring they can confidently tackle programming challenges in both academic and practical contexts.
