About Lily
I have been passionate about programming for over a decade, earning a B.Sc in Computer Science and Software Engineering and accumulating 10 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have guided learners of all levels, from beginners exploring coding fundamentals to advanced students preparing for technical careers or competitive exams. My goal is to help students develop strong computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and coding confidence.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, engagement, and hands-on learning. I design lessons that balance theory with practical exercises, providing real-time feedback, encouragement, and tailored guidance. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity while strengthening logical reasoning and analytical skills, ensuring a deep understanding of programming concepts.
Beyond teaching, I actively explore new programming languages, frameworks, and projects to remain current in the field. Teaching programming is deeply satisfying because I witness students evolve from uncertainty to competence, developing the confidence to solve real-world problems and build innovative software solutions independently.

Programming is best learnt when students understand the logic and reasoning behind every solution. My lessons focus on Python, Java, algorithms, data structures, OOP principles, and software design. I emphasise interactive coding exercises, real-world projects, and problem-solving strategies that build confidence, logical reasoning, and creativity. Each session encourages students to think critically, debug effectively, and explore multiple solutions, transforming coding from a daunting subject into an engaging, practical skill.
Lesson plans are tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners start with variables, loops, conditionals, and simple programmes. Intermediate learners develop structured functions, modular thinking, debugging techniques, and small projects. Advanced learners tackle complex algorithms, optimisation, API integration, and large-scale project planning. Hands-on exercises, personalised feedback, and coding challenges ensure steady progress while reinforcing problem-solving and computational thinking.
