About Chloe
I have 10 years of experience teaching programming, holding a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. I have guided students at all levels, from beginners starting their first programmes to advanced learners tackling complex algorithms and software projects. My teaching approach blends conceptual understanding with practical application, project-based exercises, and real-world examples to make programming accessible, intellectually stimulating, and highly rewarding.
I focus on creating a student-centred environment that emphasises clarity, patience, and personalised guidance. Lessons integrate interactive coding exercises, step-by-step explanations, project development, and problem-solving activities to promote independent thinking, analytical reasoning, and confidence. I aim to help students develop both technical mastery and creative problem-solving skills.
Beyond teaching, I stay current with emerging technologies, programming frameworks, artificial intelligence, and software engineering practices. Incorporating contemporary examples and real-world applications enriches the learning experience. Watching students grow from hesitant beginners to confident programmers capable of solving complex challenges is deeply satisfying. Programming becomes both exciting and meaningful when learners can understand the logic behind code and its real-world application. My lessons cover Python, Java, C++, algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, debugging, software design, and project development. I incorporate hands-on exercises, coding challenges, interactive problem-solving, and practical examples to ensure that students develop computational thinking, technical mastery, and creative problem-solving skills. Each session is structured to foster curiosity, independent thinking, and confidence within a supportive and motivating learning environment.
Lessons are adapted according to each student’s level. Beginners learn basic syntax, loops, conditionals, variables, and problem-solving strategies. Intermediate learners explore modular programmes, efficient debugging techniques, small-scale projects, and function design. Advanced learners tackle algorithm optimisation, software architecture, API integration, and larger project planning. Personalised guidance, structured exercises, and continuous feedback ensure students progress steadily and gain confidence in their programming abilities.
Learning programming cultivates logical reasoning, systematic thinking, and problem-solving skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Students gain the ability to design, implement, and evaluate software solutions independently, approach challenges methodically, and develop creative thinking.
