About Jesse
Hello! I'm Jesse Rimon, but I mainly go by JD. I've had over 4 years of experience tutoring students in math, ranging from Algebra to Calculus. My main accomplishments in math are taking Algebra 1 when I was in 5th Grade, scoring a 5 on my AP Calculus BC exam when I was in 10th grade, and scoring 760 on the math portion of my SAT. Furthermore, I received an Associate's Degree, Mathematics Specialization, with a 4.00 GPA, during the same semester that I graduated high school.
I am currently a rising fourth-year at University of Virginia's Engineering School, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Data Science. I was also recently accepted into UVA's Graduate Programs and will be pursuing a Master of Computer Science.
Outside of tutoring, I love playing and listening to music, working out at the gym, playing video games, solving Rubik's Cubes (my fastest time is 6.71 seconds!), and coding some small, personal projects.

Before I begin a lesson, I always like to know your strengths and weaknesses so that I can personalize my lesson based on those. I will break down the lesson content into simplified concepts and formulas so that you can understand the content well enough for it to become second nature.
My ultimate goal is for you to build confidence and efficiency in your mathematical skills, so that you can conquer any problem in your math textbooks, whether it consists of finding the best u-substitution for an integral, using trig identities to solve a trig equation, or even solving a complicated word problem.
