About Micah
Micah Rashada is a multidisciplinary artist and musician born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, currently based in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of The George Washington University.
With a B.A. in Fine Arts and Music focused on viola performance, he has studied viola with Dmitri Kourka of the Los Angeles and Las Vegas Philharmonic orchestras and Uri Wassertzug of the Kennedy Center Opera House and the National Philharmonic Orchestra.
Throughout all four years of college, Rashada has performed extensively with chamber music groups, creating an investment in collaborative musicianship. He has appeared in interdisciplinary settings alongside his orchestral work, including opening for the experimental artist Matmos at an exhibition at the Corcoran School of the Arts. Outside of GW, he regularly performs gigs and weddings with local music groups.
Rashada loves creating music and art with his friends in his free time. He also produces, performs, and writes music under the stage name Hacim, amassing more than 2.5 million streams collectively.

Hi all! My name is Micah Rashada, and I am a classically trained violist with 12 years of experience.
I like to meet every student where they are at by first evaluating their skills, listening to their goals and what they want to achieve, and finally helping them get there. Through a training of basic techniques and skills to build a solid foundation, as well as listening to the students' own requests and helping with learning pieces, I will ensure that you can apply the skills you learn from me to your playing years down the line.
I am looking for students from middle school to high school.
