About Joel

I am a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge, holding a First-Class degree and Master's in Mathematics. My studies focused primarily on applied mathematics and theoretical physics, covering areas such as vector calculus, differential equations, quantum mechanics, and general relativity, with my Master's specializing in fluid mechanics. During my time at Cambridge, I was awarded a Senior Scholarship for my final two years.
Since graduating, I co-founded SnapRevise, one of the UK's leading education technology platforms, giving me extensive experience in developing effective learning strategies. While I no longer tutor full-time, my passion for teaching means I continue to accept select students who are serious about deepening their mathematical understanding and achieving excellent results.
I believe strongly in a holistic approach to learning, creating an environment where students feel comfortable, engaged, and motivated. My goal is to help each student build not only mathematical understanding but also confidence and problem-solving skills that extend beyond their immediate studies.
My current and former students range from GCSE and A-Level pupils to university undergraduates. At university level, my areas of particular expertise include:
