About Cleo
I am a professional ESL teacher with 8 years of experience teaching English to High School and College students. I am passionate about helping learners improve their language skills through personalised and student-centred instruction. My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that effective learning happens when lessons are tailored to individual needs and real-life situations.
At the beginning of each course, I assess the student’s current level, learning style, and objectives. Based on this, I design customised lesson plans that focus on their specific goals, whether it is improving academic English, preparing for exams, enhancing writing skills, or developing confidence in speaking. I make sure that lessons are well-structured but flexible enough to adjust as the student progresses.
I use a mix of traditional teaching methods and modern techniques such as interactive exercises, conversation practice, and real-world examples. I pay close attention to grammar accuracy, vocabulary development, pronunciation, and fluency. I also encourage students to think in English rather than translate, which helps them communicate more naturally.
My unique strengths include strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate students. I provide regular feedback and practical tips to help learners overcome their challenges. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated. My ultimate goal is to help students become confident, independent English users.

My ESL teaching methodology is interactive, flexible, and results-focused. I plan lessons based on each student’s level, goals, and learning pace to make English learning effective and enjoyable.
