About Alexandra
Starting a career is harder than it looks. You have worked hard to get your qualifications, but the workplace operates by a completely different set of rules and nobody gives you a manual.
I know this because I spent more than twenty years working inside some of the world's leading organisations, with businesses including Unilever, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, Publicis and Nivea. What I saw, consistently, was that the people who thrived were not always the most academically gifted. They were the ones who could communicate clearly, read a room, manage relationships, and show up well under pressure. Those skills can be learnt. They just need to be taught.
My career took me across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America, running international graduate programmes across geographies and disciplines, and working with blended teams across multiple sectors. I understand that professional culture is not universal. What counts as confident in one context can read as aggressive in another. What feels collaborative in one culture can look indecisive in another. I have spent two decades navigating those differences, and I help my students do the same.
I progressed to C-suite level, serving as Chief Talent Officer, where I designed the learning programmes and leadership development that helped global businesses grow their people. I am also a qualified facilitator with extensive experience running sessions across multiple sectors and countries.
I now work with students, graduates and international professionals who are ready to close that gap and move forward with confidence.

Every session starts with you. Before we work on anything, I take time to understand where you are, what you are trying to achieve, and what is actually getting in the way. That diagnostic conversation is built into the first session, so nothing we do together is generic or off-the-shelf.
My first session is 50 minutes and works as an assessment and a conversation. We will identify your specific gaps, understand how they are showing up in practice, and agree on exactly what to work on and why. You will leave that first session knowing exactly where to focus.
From there, sessions are tailored to your goals and your topic. Depending on what you need, we might work through coaching conversations, live practice and role play, structured feedback on how you actually come across, or take-home exercises and written materials to reinforce what we cover. Where it is useful, I provide written feedback so you have something to refer back to.
I work with A-level students preparing for university and their first professional steps, graduates navigating the transition into employment, and international students and professionals who are not just learning new skills but also decoding a professional culture that was never fully explained to them. Sessions are delivered online and can be one-off or ongoing.
Topics include professional communication, presentation and public speaking, non-verbal communication and body language, digital communication and professional online presence including LinkedIn, workplace relationship-building, and interview preparation grounded in real employer expectations rather than rehearsed answers.
You will leave our first session with a clear picture of exactly what has been holding you back and a practical plan to address it.

I have known Alexandra for many years, watching her develop and hone her communication and coaching skills. She has proved to be an inspiring and reliable speaker. She has come in to talk to my sixth form students on a variety of topics, covering key skills for moving in to higher education and beyond. She has also coached me personally on interview techniques and CV writing - helping me land my dream job, for which I will be for ever grateful.
If you are looking for a warm, friendly, approachable coach with a wealth of experience, then Alexandra is the person for you.In my capacity as a Global Talent Lead, I have worked with Alex on many occasions on a range of projects including graduate hiring, onboarding and early career development across international markets.
What I can say with confidence is that Alex understands the graduate gap better than almost anyone I have encountered in a professional context. The gap between what universities produce and what organisations actually need from their people on day one is real, significant, and consistently underestimated. Alex not only understands it intellectually, but she has also spent decades doing something about it in practice.
I have seen Alex run workshops, facilitate offsites, design onboarding programmes and coach individuals at different levels and in different cultural contexts. What strikes me every time is her ability to read a room across cultural and personality boundaries. To understand what is needed, adjust her approach accordingly, and get results that stick. Working across global teams, I know how rare that capability is and how much it matters.
If you are a student or early career professional wondering whether the skills Alex teaches are genuinely valued by employers, I am an employer, and they are. The ability to communicate clearly, present yourself with confidence, navigate workplace relationships and understand how professional culture actually works is what separates people who progress from people who don’t. These are not soft skills. They are the skills.
I recommend Alex without reservation.

Details
My introductory session is 45 minutes. This is a diagnostic conversation, rather than a taster lesson. You will leave knowing exactly where your gaps are and what to work on. It is the most important session we will have.
Regular sessions are £80 per hour. Where it adds value, written feedback and supporting materials are included in that rate; there are no hidden extras.
If you are committing to more than one session, package rates are available. Details can be found in my profile.
