About Melanie
I am a professional gospel, contemporary singer and director. I have been teaching voice / singing for nine years and have been performing for over twenty five years.
I have participated in more than 18 choirs and direct my own vocal group.
I initially worked through the ABRSM in the UK, in singing, piano & music theory, but moved on to US style singing techniques when I moved to Argentina and started singing gospel on more of a professional level.
I have trained in Speech Level Singing (Las Vegas, USA) and also with New York Vocal Coaching (NYC, USA).
I also trained extensively in music in Mexico at the Universidad Veracruzana.

I use a blend of preparatory exercises in lessons, as well as guiding the student through the songs of their chosen repertoire, too.
What we will cover:
- breathing techniques & posture
- vocal exercises to train your voice to hit the notes using the correct register
- rhythm & note study
- style & collocation
- intonation & pronunciation
- improvisation
Problem solving and strategical planning for how to work through the songs that the student wants to sing.
Regarding technique, I have a background in Speech Level Singing, but now use a combination of vocal techniques based on vocal science.
